VAMSYS Release datum! by: Tom Roek @ 16-03-2024 18:07z

Dear Pilots,

We are delighted to share with you that we will be switching to VAMSYS on 21 March 2024. This means that from this moment, our in-house developed Dispatch Manager will no longer be functional. All our pilots who are currently registered on Transavia Virtual, will be able to transfer their hours to their new VAMSYS-account. All pilots who do not have a VAMSYS-account yet, are kindly asked to wait until they have received an invitation. Pilots who have already registered on VAMSYS, should login using the \'login\' button top-right on our new website.

Should you have any questions about this transfer, please contact support@transavia-virtual.com. Or join our Discord-server once we have launched our new website.

Best regards,
Your Transavia-Virtual Staff

VAMSYS Update by: Tom Roek @ 11-03-2024 20:50z
 Dear Pilots,

We recently announced that we will be moving our Virtual Airline, and using the brand new VAMSYS system. This software offers better integration into Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, and has numerous new features such as Focus Airport, Event capabilities and a revamped interface.

After months of work, we can finally share one of the first previews of the revamped interface:

To improve the community feel for our virtual pilots, we are also working on setting up a new Discord server. This is a platform where interaction between the Staff and Pilots will be much easier. We will also bring back the forum where we will offer updated documents and liveries.

Kind regards,
Transavia Virtual Staff

We are moving out! by: Tom Roek @ 16-01-2024 23:34z
Dear pilots, we have big news to share!

Since 2009, transavia-virtual.com has been using its fully in-house developed systems and software. As you may also have noticed, the state of these systems is increasingly deteriorating and we can no longer offer the experience you are used to from us.

Therefore, since the beginning of this year, we have been working hard to integrate transavia-virtual.com into the VAMSYS - Virtual Airline system. This means that our website will be drastically renewed, and logs will be set up differently.

What does this mean for you? An improved flight-sim experience and a fresh new start for transavia-virtual.com

You can already see a preview of our landing page here:

We can\'t wait to share more information about our VAMSYS integration soon!

Best regards,
Transavia Virtual Staff

Error in Flightplan Notification by: Tom Roek @ 05-04-2022 12:51z
 Dear Pilots,

Unfortunately we are experiencing problems with the database of all flights of the Summer schedule of 2021/22. Because of this it is possible that you may receive a 'Error in flight plan' message and that you cannot select the flight from the timetable. Report this message occur, please report this to flight-ops@transavia-virtual.com and hopefully we can solve the problem.

You can still operate this flight in the following way:
1. Select 'search flights' in the Transavia Virtual Dispatch Manager.
2. Choose the 4th option. Ad-hoc/special flight and press create flight plan.
3. You can then create and fill in your own flight plan. You should replace the first digit with a 7. If you want to follow flight HV1234, for example, you will fly it in this way as HV7234. If you want to fly HV123, this will be HV7123.

We hope that the above solution will be a temporary one and that we can inform you soon that our problems have been resolved.

Yours sincerely,
The Transavia Virtual Staff

Realife Adhoc flights by: Raymond van der Ploeg @ 03-04-2020 14:54z
 Hi,

As you may know the real company also doing some positionings and adhoc flights.

Our flight.Ops dep. is always monitoring those flight in real. However sometimes we select in what we offer to you. So we can not guarentee in all sorts of reasons we let you fly every adhoc flight as in real.

But keep in mind the following rule:
3.7d Whenever an adhoc/positioning flight is flown in \"real life\", the staff can make an exception on the map defined in 3.7c. The staff will keep track of the adhoc flights and will keep updated info about the adhoc flights on the homepage of our website.

So when violating this rule, will end up in an automatic removal of your flight.

Dear Pilots,

What a strange time to live in, anywhere in the world we have been involved with the coronavirus. Also in reallife aviation is having a makeover, also the company we are simulating decided to cancel their operations.

However, we at the virtual transavia decided to make the summer great again, so we have activated tonight the summer schedule, with 1181 rotations to various destinations.

Some highlights this summer:
-New hub Montpellier (LFMT)
-New destinations like Bilbao, Bejaja, Constatine, Setif, Dakar and Perugia etc.
-New NGXU paints for the PH-HZL, HZJ, HZI (Thanks to Danny Lemckert)

Unfortunately the upcoming Brussels operations were cancelled this summer because of the virus. So a delay here, but many other nice flights out of Holland and France.

So have fun!! and like always is your flight not correct or the route please mail us on flight-ops@transavia-virtual.com

Kind regards,

Fleet update by: Danny Lemckert @ 25-02-2019 15:39z
 Dear pilots,

The PH-HSK is the first aircraft in our fleet wearing the split scimitar winglets. More aircraft will be equipped with these winglets in the upcoming months.

As the summer approaches, transavia is going to lease aircraft(s) from Jet Time. However, most likely, these aircraft will not have any logo or sticker from transavia on the fuselage. We do not know yet if transavia is going to lease aircraft from GOL again this year.

Currently, we are working on a fleet update for all of our aircraft. This contains (new) visable details such as; cabin interior, cockpit texture modifications, dirt on the wheels/tail and a personalized .ini file for each aircraft. We will post some pictures of this update on our facebook when it is almost finshed!

Stay tuned!

Danny

Dear Pilots,

At Transavia Virtual we have everything you might expect of a virtual airline. We have lovely pilots, our aircraft look pretty and if possible we depart on time. In flight we have enthusiastic crew, surprisingly good coffee, We have exemplary passengers, sometime slightly less exemplary passengers and a magnificent view at 30.000 feet. There is only one thing that makes us unique, “No, not you Raymond, our tours. Because Transavia Virtual always flies very well arranged throughout Europe the number one reason to fly Transavia Virtual. Transavia, what are you still doing here?

Do you recognize this text? It was the Transavia.com Commercial ten years ago. In these ten years a lot changed in the Transavia network. Bases are opened and closed, brands like BasiqAir and Transavia Denmark ceased operations while Transavia France became a well know player in the French market. In the Transavia Classic Tour you will fly across Europe on some routes that were ever operated by a Transavia.com brand.

Note, only 3 legs a day are allowed.

If there is any question, dont hesitate to ask!

I wish you a great adventure in the Classic tour 2018!

NEW beta liveries by: Danny Lemckert @ 09-11-2018 10:22z
 Dear pilots,

As we are starting to re-develop our va, we want to come up with some additional updates on our liveries. We have selected two liveries to start with: PH-HSJ and the PH-HZE. They are available at our liveries page.

This additional livery update concludes:
-> Preformatted .ini file for correct cockpit set-up.
-> Additional cockpit textures.
-> Additional cabin texture
-> Additional weathering textures.
-> New aircraft thumbnail (PMDG OPS Center)

To install ini:
Drag and overwrite the ini file from the .zip into TRA_*REG* folder. (ex. PH-HSJ.ini goes to TRA_HSJ texture folder). VERY important is to check, the PH-HSJ should boot with the Collins config, were the HZE should boot with the Honeywell config.

To install weathering:
Drag and overwrite both files to the TRA_*REG* folder.

Please give us feedback on how you think about the updates and if the .ini file works.

Bug in Costumer Options packag by: Raymond van der Ploeg @ 14-09-2016 18:46z
 Hi All,

We have discovered some very weird errors in the Costumer Options package that was created. It seems that some of the configuration items will not install as they must be. Just to give you an example the Head Up Display is showing on the PH-GUB with a person but an other person the HUD is not showing as it must do. The same is happening whit the MCP settings.

We will try to see for a solution, and perhaps we discovered a little bug in the PMDG software. Thanks for the persons for reporting!

The \'\'Loading Instruction\'\' document can be found at:

Pilots use different configurations between taxi and takeoff/landing.

Taxi

Takeoff en landing
-> Fixed landing lights.
-> *Retractable landing lights. (after receiving clearance)
-> Strobe lights.

* Retractable lights off after 10.000ft or above 250kts.
* Not all aircraft are equipped with retractable landing lights. The new 737MAX dont have retractables and the switches are removed from the flightdeck.

As we announced earlier, new this season and new to the virtual airline is the introduction of Transavia France! this means not only flight out of the The Netherlands but also out of France like airports as Paris Orly, Nantes and Lyon. Despite that Transavia France also flying on the same destinations as the dutch part of Transavia they have also their own destinations like Munich, Dublin and Tunis.

When flying for Transavia France you have to realize that their callsign is FRANCE SOLEIL and not as you using with TRA flightplan as callsign TRANSAVIA. The flights in the timetable are also beginning with code TVF. Also when flying online on Vatsm or IVAO the ATC will see you as Transavia France (TVF/TO). When not using this correctly you will be notified and also notify each other.

With the introduction of Transavia France we have some new rules and updated rules. We ask you to read them carefully. What mainly is changed is the correct use of the callsigns but also the use of adhoc flights since you are able now to fly these flight under TVF in or to France airports.

3.2 At all times you are required to login on both networks with a TRA or TVF callsign which can be found at the corresponding flight in the timetable or via events and tours.
3.2a Doing a TRA flight the callsign used is \"transavia\"
3.2b Doing a TVF flight the callsign used is \"france soleil\"

3.7a The adhoc/positioning flights under an TRA callsign are carried out to or from Dutch airports only.
3.7b The adhoc/positioning flights under an TVF callsign are carried out to or from French airports only.
3.7c The flights need to depart or arrive in the area of this map.

When you have any questions left, please mail us or use the forum.

Hi,

As we already told you earlier we had some delay to activate the winter timetable because of a running project. We already told the many visitors we had on the FSweekend but now also time to tell you about this new feature!

End of this week you are also able to simulate Transavia France! this will be released together with the new timetable. We think we will give with this new feature you more variation as a pilot to fly for transavia. Here below some facts about the Franch part of Transavia:

ICAO: TVF
IATA: TO
HUB: PARIS ORLY LFPO
CALLSIGN: FRANCE SOLEIL

More info will follow via our Facebook page and the forum. There will be some changes for you as pilot and also our rules will change slightly in some ways.

Regards,
Raymond
